This Earthenware ceramic piece, with its handmade glaze, represents a being who finds beauty on the outside by working on themselves on the inside. The smooth texture and rich glaze show how inner healing can shine through outwardly. It reflects the idea that as we grow and heal inside, our true beauty shows on the outside.

I found the curvature of the spine was pinnacle to the piece because it represents the feeling of being uncomfortable. Representing the basis idea of insecurity.

Original Sketch
Originally, I wanted the hands to come in and reach the heart, but as I was building, I found myself seeing the awkward body posture and cultivated a whole new meaning to the piece.
