Through my architectural and artistic work, I am capable of taking on any creative task given to me. This is made possible by combining logistical precision with artistic vision .

Using a mix of Rhino 7, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Architextures, I designed two perspective collages for an outdoor green space. The goal of this project was to unite the locals of Hudson Yards, while also providing an informational space for tourists about the history of the LGBQT community in Hudson Yards and an art venue for local artists.

This collage captures a "bat's-eye view" of a green space that also serves as a bat habitat, with artificial bat caves below the upper level. The left side features informational steps for tourists about Hudson Yards' history, while the right side offers a community space for locals to eat, study, or meet. At the top, an art venue connected to the High Line provides local artists with a platform to showcase their work.

To create my design, I needed to understand the area's dynamics, including its residents and users. With no specific guidelines, I had the freedom to decide what the green space should represent, focusing on filling the area's gaps. By considering nearby landmarks, I aimed to avoid a purely tourist design, though some tourist appeal was inevitable due to Little Island and the High Line. Ultimately, I wanted to represent both the Hudson Yards community and New York bats.

This plan helped me understand the importance of levels and accessibility within the design. The bat ponds are on the bottom floor, easily accessible with ramps and stairs for people with disabilities, along with clear circulation paths. At the top, a space connected to the High Line features mounds for sitting and people-watching, aligned with the migration path of bats. The design ensures accessibility for everyone while creating a meaningful connection to the local wildlife.

Diagrams are the easiest way to digest information, so I believed it would be important to include as if I was really presenting this idea to a company or client.

Using 3D modeling, cardstock, and chipboard, I created a 1/8" = 1'0" scaled model not only representing the design, but the site around it.
